I wish I could freeze this moment, right here, right now,

Session Information

Session Information

Session types

My photographic shoots are as unique as your children! In your pre-session planning consultation, I will guide you through your vision for your photographs and what it is that you most want to capture. We will use this information to choose the location, the time of day, the style of photographs, outfits, props and anything else you would like to include in your photographic shoot.

The information below is to give you some inspiration and an idea of what to expect of some of my most popular types of sessions. Note that this is just a guide - every session is tailored to suit you and your family, so there are no rules! The same prices apply for all session types with infants, older children and families, so you can choose to include multiple children, the full family, or any combination you like (although I don't recommend extended families - kids will quickly lose patience if there are too many people involved!).

PLAYTIME session

Playtime sessions are the perfect way to capture your child's personality when they are relaxed and comfortable. These are informal, fun shoots that can take place wherever you like: your home, your favourite park, the beach, or just about anywhere you can think of! The goal is to tell your child's story - doing the things they love, having fun, really being themselves. We usually capture some more traditional portrait shots in the process too, but the focus is on letting their personality shine. These are the photos that will bring your memories flooding back every time you see them.

This type of session is fantastic for creating a wall gallery with a set of canvases or prints, and for albums that your family and guests can pore over for years.

STUDIO SESSION

Studio sessions are held in my home studio in Te Awamutu. They are a little more formal than lifestyle sessions, but we still focus on letting your children have fun so that their individuality is featured. You can choose from a range of plain or fun backdrops, sweet little chairs, and hats, headbands and even silly photo booth style props to get everyone laughing. We have more control over the lighting and can produce photos with different styles and moods all within the same session.

Perfect for unique wall art displays that match your decor, gift prints that really stand out, and stylised photo books that will catch the attention of everyone who sees them.

FAMILY SESSION

Family sessions are fun, relaxed portrait shoots which focus on capturing the love your family shares and the connection between you. They can be held wherever you like and can be as serious or as informal as you like. There is no limit to the number or ages of children for one shoot, but I do recommend sticking to immediate families only. Children will quickly get bored if they aren't actively involved, so smaller groups work best.

These are the photos that will really tell your story as a family, so ideal ways of displaying them include wall galleries and photo albums that will bring a smile to your face every time you see them.
